A couple of weeks ago I teamed up with three amazing local business ladies to run a little facebook competition for a fabulous head to toe makeover for a lucky winner.
After all the careful planning behind the scenes the big day finally came and Julia got to be the centre of all our attention and pampering.
Karen started off the day in the Clifton boutique Grace & Mabel, who were kind enough to let us borrow some of the clothing. Karen is a real expert in her field, making shopping, picking the right cuts and colours and pairing them all together for a stylish look really effortless – which is exactly what she did with Julia as well. It was a pleasure to see how all the separate pieces were brought into an outfit by the right accessories.
Next on the list – the beauty department, hair and make-up!
I’ve worked with Jenny a couple of times already, she’s got a natural talent of accentuating the best features of her subject with her make-up-brush magic.
Atelier is possibly the most beautiful hair salon in Bristol. I was delighted when I found out that not only will Ella (the owner of the salon) style Julia’s hair, but I also get to take the final images there.
After all the magic contribution from everyone… makeover done! I don’t think I have to say how excited I was at this point to finally get to play with our beautiful model too.
And she was a natural.
I love the blush top on Julia, especially with the scarf and green bag – her look just screams spring.
My very favourite outfit of the day however, was this fiery red number below. Beautiful cut and colour, and it goes really well with the feature wall at Atelier too… :)
A makeover doesn’t have to mean to change who you are head-to-toe. But a good makeover experience will positively change how you feel about yourself forever. It’s purpose is to make you feel more comfortable in your own skin, boost your confidence, not to mention the day of pampering, away from all the troubles of everyday.
